KCB Pearl of Africa Uganda rally kicks off

Rally organizers Kenya Commercial Bank have reiterated the precaution of safety as key in this year’s pearl of Africa rally that starts tomorrow.

Federation of Motorsport Uganda Sponsors Cordinator, Edwin Kugonza says they are focusing on keeping drivers safe and restricting fans to only viewing points allocated.

Kugonza adds that they have also demarcated areas where sponsors can set up their bases and not anywhere around the routes to avoid any accidents that may rise.

The state Minister for Sports, Charles Bakabulindi is expected to flag off the rally and the first driver to set off will be Ponsiano Lwakataka.

Other drivers expected are African Rally Champion Jamie Whyte, National rally champion Ronald Ssebuguzi, Shafiq Ssemujju and Leon Ssenyange among others.
