Police beats journalist to near death over reporting of its human rights abuse

Ugandan Journalist William Ntege nicknamed Kyumakyayesu was beaten to near death on Monday and his cameras were broken by Uganda Police.

He was accused of over reporting news about the increasing police brutality and cruelty on unarmed civilians.

Ntege was admitted atMulagoHospitalinKampalaover the injuries he sustained as a result of the Police beating and brutality.

But to the surprise of many, Ntege William walked out of the hospital where he was admitted with his drip on and went to protest in front of Kampala Police Station in anguish.

William was again manhandled by the same Police while on drip and sent to Police Custody up to now without medical help.
