Absolute Health Foundation and Absolute health services are committed to improving the quality of life for those affected by the hepatitis B virus not only in Liberia where they are based but across Africa including in Uganda.

SAMUEL NARTEY QUAO, the President of Absolute Health Foundation- Liberia says the above organisations assist in the implementation of an Action plan on hepatitis B in Africa, do research, promoting disease awareness, supporting immunization and treatment initiatives by liaising with pharmaceutical partners for easy accessibility of vaccines at the most reduced price and drugs for the treatment of hepatitis B.

He says that Absolute Health Foundation also serves as a source of information for hepatitis B patients and their families both the affected and none affected, the health worker and the general public.

“We are also dedicated in meeting African and world leaders to encourage them to have an annual budget for Hepatitis B. We also focus on the right tool or tools to use in communicating to the public in creating awareness e.g. entertainment etc,” he explains.

This is a laudable project and i encourage African leaders to get involved by getting in touch with these organizations to help Africa. We can help each other as Africans.
