Keko, the self-proclaimed queen of Uganda Rap

Just when almost everyone had started looking at Hip hop more like a man’s thing Keko came along to shout out to the whole world and assure all the Ugandans out there that women too can throw those lines just as much as men could.

Uganda hip hop female artist Keko

Jacycen Tracy a.k.a Keko entered into the books of Uganda’s music history when she became the first female musician to break out as a hip artist.

Her rise came in 2010 with releases of fallen heroes a duet with the hip hop canvas 2010 and her first single Abwoo (cry for help)” have all stamped keko’s prominence in the growing music genre of hip hop.

And boy do them young Ugandans like the gal. She has been voted best upcoming artist by the Teeniez awards and the favourite musicians. Keko has also done collabos with Angella Katatumba, Mwozey Radio and Weasel, Vampino among others. She is an artist to look out to. For many years to come.
